Newark Art Supply makes every effort to assure your ordering experience is pleasant and successful. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. For your protection, all transactions made over the internet are processed via secured encrypted transmission lines.
Shipping and Handling Charges:
We charge a $5 service fee plus 7% of your order total or a minimum of $5 for shipping. Additional fees will apply to rush shipping. This charge is not reflected on your order total on the website. Shipping charges with a tracking number will appear in the confirmation email.
Credit Cards:
Please include the 3 or 4 digit authorization code in the "Customer Comment/Notes" section of the order screen. For MC, Visa, and Discover this is the last 3 digits on the back of the card above your signature. For AMEX this is the 4-digit code on the upper right side of the front of the card.
Shipping:
Most orders can be shipped via FedEx, UPS, or USPS. Orders will generally be processed within 1-2 business days to be available for shipping. If you have specific shipping requests, please state them in the comments section when placing your order.
There are restrictions on some shipments as follows:
Truck and Freight orders
Due to certain size and weight restrictions, certain orders must be shipped by "common carrier" (trucking company). We will find the carrier that best suits your order and call you for approval of the shipping charge.
Oversize and Overweight
Both oversize and overweight products will take longer to arrive and additional charges apply. Please call for any details regarding flammable, hazardous, truck, freight oversize and overweight shipments or products. We will contact you for any orders that must be sent any other way than FEDEX, UPS, or USPS.
Backorders:
There are times when we will not be able to fill your order 100% due to back-ordered items. Newark Art Supply will notify you if this applies to any part of your order and will not charge you for those items.
Pricing:
All pricing on the website is manufacturer’s suggested retail pricing. We occasionally offer discounts which will appear on the order confirmation.
Tax:
Newark Art Supply is required to collect sales tax for orders being sent to NJ at the reduced Urban Enterprise Zone rate of 3.5%.
Orders outside the 48 Contiguous States:
Unless otherwise specified, shipments for orders outside the 48 contiguous states will be shipped via Fed-Ex or USPS. Additional expenses including customs, duties or taxes will be charged to the customer.
Receiving Orders and Returns:
When you receive your order please inspect it for damages, missing items, incorrect items, etc. If there is a problem of any kind please call us as soon as possible. Returns can be made up to 14 days from receipt of order. There will be a 25% restocking fee and the customer pays for the return shipping on all returns. We will waive these charges under certain circumstances.
Newark Art Supply has agreed that it will collect, store and use personal information obtained from the Alvin & Co., Inc. E-Partner web site only for the defined purposed of supporting and enhancing your customer relationship in connection with the processing of consumer purchases, providing service and support and sharing product, service and Alvin & Co, Inc. news and offerings. Newark Art Supply has agreed to keep confidential all information obtained through the Alvin & Co., Inc.
